December NewsletterPosted by: Brendan Reilly22-Dec-2007The end of the year is just about upon us and it is time to reflect. May I on behalf of my staff and the Barristers on this List thank you for your support during 2007. It has been a pleasure and the greatest thing is we are all still here and going about our daily lives.

Their profile and areas of practice are detailed else where on this site. We welcome them and wish them both the best in their careers at the Bar.
As this is a business site I have refrained from mentioning matter of a sporting nature but may I say it was fantastic to watch Geelong win The Grand Final and break a 44 year drought.

August NewsletterPosted by: Brendan Reilly11-Sep-2007Congratulations to Duncan Allen S.C. on his recent appointment as a Judge of The County Court. It comes as no surprise as his career as a Barrister was such that this recognition of his ability was a natural one. He will be missed as a list member but all in the Clerks office were thrilled for Duncan.
WELCOME TO: Andrea Lawrence and Scott Krischock (March Readers) who have joined the list. Full details of their preferred areas of practice and other relevant details are posted else where on this site.

TAX INVOICES: For the past few weeks our tax invoices have included details of how to pay by E.F.T. This is becoming a popular method of payment. Like to know more? Please contact Brendan of Mel in accounts.

SPORT: We cannot let this occasion to pass without mentioning Geelongs aim to win their first grand final since 1963. We know 7 other teams are also in the race, but this just maybe the year Geelong Do It.
Newsletter Dec 2006Posted by: Brendan Reilly21-Dec-2006Since our last letter there have been a few changes with my employees, brothers Trevor and Matthew Little left within a week of each other and being siblings did not tell each other of their proposed resignation until it reached my desk. They have both left with my blessing, Trevor has gone off to be a mid-line manager with a transport company and Matthew to reception at a medical suite. We wish them well.
We welcome Melissa Wright to out staff. Mel has accounts experience and in particular with our programmes, Mel has settled with us very quickly and has become a valuable employee.
Congratulations to:
Mr Andrew Panna S.C on this well received appointment 2 weeks ago. He joined 12 others who were welcomed at a ceremonial sitting of The Full Court on Tuesday 6th December. Andrew will be a fine member of The Inner Bar and we wish him well for the future.
To Marie Faletti on the announcement of her pregnancy; baby is due about the 6th July next year.
E-Mails:
Did you know that we can e-mail tax invoices to you? Please contact Brendan or Mel if you would prefer to receive your tax invoices in this manner.
E.F.T Payments:
This is becoming an increasingly popular method of payments but it does have a downside unless you tell us of how you are paying. The details we receive on our bank statements are sketchy to say the least and quite often we have to wait until an enquiry is made before we can identify payment. Please help us by making contact by phone, fax of e-mail with detail this way we can ensure prompt processing and payments to counsel.

On your behalf I send congratulations, the bench will be far richer for their presence and we wish them all the best as they embark on this new path of their careers. It was a pleasure to work with him over many years, he always had the lists interests at heart and the maturity we have now reached is due, in no small measure, to his efforts. I will miss him.
